ZTE to build 40G Long-Haul backbone network for Optimus in Portugal
(PresseBox) Dusseldorf, 31.03.2010, The Chinese telecommunications equipment supplier ZTE has received from the Portuguese service providers Optimus a contract for the construction of a new optical transmission network. ZTE builds on Optimus a long haul transmission, which is the capital Lisbon, Porto, the second largest city in the country, will link.
The new network will be based on an Optimus ZXWM M920 solution from ZTE; this intelligent optical network products combined with a high capacity long haul transmission functions. The NMS of the solution supports a web function for remote login and network monitoring. The safe and reliable Auto Performance Optimization feature (APO) simplifies network maintenance. Due to its high system integration and low power consumption, this solution is also very environmentally friendly. The hardware meets all the OTN standard, allows all purely IPorientierten transfers and supports loading of GMPLS / WSON to the control level. Thanks to this versatility it is suitable for building at all levels of backbone networks and private networks.
